ok - I should have pic.'s for this blog, but I don't. I uploaded pic. to the MAC and I doubt I get around to doing it on the PC. So anyway.....I have been a little busy, but it has been so much fun.
I went to Houston a couple wks. ago to host a personal shower for T's sister who is getting married July 4th. It was a great shower, we had a blast. It takes a bit out of me to drive to Dallas late Thursday evening and then on to Houston Friday morning, back from Houston to Dallas late Sunday evening and then home to OK early (and I mean early, before 6a) from Dallas. So I was lacking sleep and lost my voice (just an indicator that I need some sleep) for a couple of days. But I didn't have much time to rest, b/c I threw Trey a surprise 35th bday party. We had family and friends over, it was a fun evening. He was surprised which makes it even better. I got him tix's to see U2 when they come to Norman, so he was excited about that.

Dalex had his Awards Banquet for gymnastics and he got two awards. One for "friendliest athlete" and the other for "highest all-around score for the season"

School is wrapping up, had "end of the year programs" and Super Kids Day - which I was able to attend for both kids at two different schools, so I loved that.

We have a very busy June and July - taking the kids to TX for their b-days this year, instead of bday parties, I am so looking forward to that!!

I am going home to NE mid-June - can't wait to hang out w/ some family and friends.

And the most exciting news...............I am starting my own business!! I will be starting a new blog which will be only for my new business. I AM SO SO EXCITED!! So more on that coming soon.

ok so this probably won't be anything exciting - I am just writing something b/c someone said they were going to delete my blog since I never blog anymore and I don't want that to happen. hehehe

Just some updates........

We are looking to buy a house - it is exciting and I can't wait to move. I am not however looking forward to the moving part, but oh well.

Getting ready for a busy busy summer, but lots of fun stuff planned.

Some big news on D.......he was selected to be in Future Stars - which is only for 8 and 9 yr olds. he would train an extra day each wk. and then have one Meet, per year, for Future Stars. If he was one of the top at the Future Stars Meet, he would get to train at the Olympic Training Center in CO. We don't know if he will be doing this or not yet, but we are super excited and so proud of him for even being selected. This is a big step and a lot to think about.

Not much to say, just thought I would post some pic.'s. L got her first hair-cut, she did great, sat still like a big girl the entire time. A got her haircut too while we were at Snip-It's.

My family came from NE to watch D in KS and the kids got to open late Christmas presents, which they loved.

D had a meet in KS last wk.end - it did awesome, he got 1st place and his team got 1st place as well. He has another meet on Sat.

The best New Yrs. Eve Party ever - we had a blast, and everyone was awake at Midnight.

Holli (Trey's sister) got engaged Christmas Eve - Congrats.

Snow in NE - we were in NE for one day and it snowed, loved it.

Trey got Manager of the quarter. Yay Trey!!

D got 6th place at the TX meet. He did awesome. This is the hardest meet all season.

OK I was going to do this blog at the beginning of Nov. and talk about all the fun stuff we did in October...........which we did have a great October!! We went to a Pumpkin Patch, Halloween Party, our Church Fall Festival, I took the girls to Storybook Forest and of course Trick or Treating!!! We had a great time doing all of these!! But now I can't believe that November is almost 1/2 over.........so I am just posting this w/ pictures.............

My Scrap-booking Weekend

This past wk.end I had my scrap-booking wk.end. To say the least, I had a blast, maybe the best time ever. A friend and I drove up late Thurs. evening and it was so great getting there Thursday night. Thursday night allowed us to have first pick of our scrap-book table and which bed we wanted as well. And trust me, those are two important things during a wk.end like this. The food was catered, and it was SO good. Plus it is just nice having food made for you and someone cleaning up your plate after you were done. hehehee I was also treated to an early Christmas gift and got a pedi-cure. And then I treated myself to a 50 min. massage. A few of us ate at the local pizza joint "Sam -n- Ella's", best pizza ever. And like always, I had a great time catching up w/ old friends and getting to know more about current friends and getting to know a new friend for the first time. I stayed up way too late, but did sleep in. I had a great time. And I am sure you are thinking..... I have not mentioned anything about scrap-booking. I did journal in three albums. And I got the rest of my pictures in order to throw in an album, or two. 2008 I will be going digital, so of course I am almost a year behind, but oh well. Til' next year....

Race for the Cure.............and the Zoo

Today was Race for the Cure. My good friend Amie walked w/ me today and it was great. She kept me at a faster pace then I would have walked. We did the 5K in 50 min. And I only had 3 hrs. of sleep, so I thought I did ok. It is an awesome experience and I am so blessed to be a small part of it. She also thinks that we should sign up for another "walk" which I think would be a good idea too. After the walk I headed home and relieved my brother and his g/f of babysitting duty (thanks Coby and Amy). Then we headed right back out the door for D's football game, his team won today. And after the game we headed to the Zoo for a couple hours. We had a good time, even though we only lasted a couple hrs. b/c we were all worn out. I will try to post the pic.'s from the zoo in a day or so.

Just thought I would give a couple updates. D is doing great in school. He also started football (flag) a couple wks. ago and is enjoying that. His first game was last Sat. and he scored 2 touchdowns. His gymnastics season will be starting next month so he is getting excited about that. He loves when it is gymnastics season. "A" is doing great is school too. I now drop her off in front of the school and she walks in all by herself, which is amazing for her. L is enjoying a little quite time during the day while A and D are at school. I mowed the front yard Monday, that is the first time I have ever mowed in my life. Nothing to it and I think the yard looks fine. That's about it for now. Life is busy, just trying to make sure it doesn't get "crazy busy"

Well it's my birthday too yea!!!! I celebrated my birthday over the wk.end and even today. I had a great b-day. I met a few college friends in Tulsa on Friday night. One of my friends has the same b-day as me (I am younger, hehee) We had dinner at Zio's and then got a Hotel for the night, relaxed in the pool and hot tub and talked until about 2a. Got up Sat. morning and went for breakfast before heading back home. It was so great seeing my friends and catching up on life. My mother-in-law was here for the wk.end (she watched my kids while I was gone) Thanks Edith!!! I always have a great time w/ her when she is here. My b-day was yesterday and the kids got me a cake and a card w/ $ in it for a Wii Fit, so that is super exciting, all I gotta do is find one now. My younger brother gave me a Mac book, which is awesome. I got a several calls from friends and family members. And I got the best cards this year. And then today Michelle brought me lunch for my b-day and it was soooo good. It was a great b-day!!! Thanks everyone for making my day so special!!!

LIFE Group

Two Sundays ago our LIFE Group met and enjoyed a service project I named "Cookies and Cards" The kids made cookies and cards for their teachers for the start of school. The kids had a great time making the cookies and cards and I love putting service into action. I think the kids learn so much more by doing instead of just being told what they should do. Our LIFE Group is trying to do more service projects this year. Not all service projects have to be a big event or a big deal, small service projects are important too. I had a great time last Sunday and I am looking forward to our next LIFE Group Service Project!!

1st day of school and haircuts

OK Just a short blog since it has been a couple wks. since the last one. "A" went w/ one of her best friends to get their haircut before school started. We had about 3 inches cut off of A's and it has helped so much, it is much easier to comb through now. The girls had a good time being at the salon together.

And now for the first day of school. Both D and A started school this past wk. T went into work late on the first day so he could take D. D didn't even care if T took him in or not, he's got this school thing down!!! I took A b/c she goes in the afternoons, she did great (trust me I am still in shock heheheheee). The next day A didn't know she had to go back so she was not crazy about going to school again but she did great just fine. So we shall see how Monday goes.

Going Home....

Going home...we (the kids and I) went to NE for a wk. We left as soon as VBS was over and the trip back was not good, the girls did not enjoy that long car ride (took me 7 hrs.) I thought I took enough "stuff" to keep them busy, but it turns out I didn't. But we made it and had a great wk.

One evening the whole family got together (which hardly ever happens w/ my family) It was a great evening. My dad made bbq ribs on the grill and Laura made several dishes including sweet corn (which I love) and Lily did too!! I love seeing my kids interact w/ their g-ma and g-pa and Laura and their Uncle Brandon and Aunt Britt and Uncle Coby. Made the rounds of visiting family and friends which is always enjoyable. I love visiting w/ my g-pa, I could listen to him tell story after story (growing up in the Depression, serving in WWII, farming, my grandma, etc). I met up w/ a friend from high school and her kids and went to the local water park. We all had a great time (no pic.'s of those b/c I took a water camera that day). Then another day we (mom and I) took the kids to the local museum and they had a blast.

The trip back to OK was much better (about 6 hrs.) and the girls did great on the way back. So now we are home and quickly getting back into our crazy routine. I don't want to think about school starting and gymnastics practice etc. etc. So I am just going to enjoy the next two wks......

VBS Day 3

OK I know this is a little late, but I got some great pictures the last day of VBS and I want to share them. The last day of VBS was once again fun. Those kids are so stinkin' cute, or did I already say that in a previous blog? Well we (myself, my helpers and the kids) were worn out the last day. So we didn't go go go as much as we had the first two days. But we still had a blast. Looking forward to VBS next year. My kids had a great time too - they loved the theme song and still sing it.

First off I want to say that I had the best helpers w/ the 2 yr. olds today. They were a bunch of help and are great w/ the kids.

And we had another great day of fun!!!!. The kids are great, I love them. You know how it is w/ a room full of 2 yr. olds - it is non-stop action, but I am having a great time w/ them.

D and A wanted to see what I was doing while they were at VBS - so I showed them after VBS today - they said "it was cool."

Today was the first day of VBS. I signed up to be a helper in the 1 yr. old room but ended up being the "teacher" for the 2 yr. olds. And I gotta tell ya I had so much fun today. Those 2 yr. olds are the best 2 yr. olds ever!! We had a blast today, playing in the tent, singing, dancing, playing w/ balls, bubbles, and more. All of the kids were super sweet and did an excellent job of listening. And my helpers were great too!! I am looking forward to tomorrow.....

We had a great 4th - Got up and went out for breakfast. Did a little shopping early in the day. Then T and I watched a movie from the Redbox. And then T grilled steaks and we headed out for some small fireworks that we got for the kids. And we sat in our front yard an watched the City's Firworks. It was a great day.

Well a few wks. ago our comp. broke, I know nothing about comp. but it was "sick" It would take me about 20 min. just to check my e-mail, not worth it, let alone if I needed to e-mail anyone that would take another 20 min. So anyway I was getting sick of it not working so I fixed it - did I already say I know nothing about computers but I fixed mine hehehehee - I think it is kinda funny - but hey at least I can read others blogs and I can write mine. OK so I fixed the comp. a couple days ago and then last night I was going to get on the comp. and do something real quick before bed and the screen said I was not connected to the internet, oh I got mad but quickly firgured out that problem too. So I am happy to say that my comp. works. So I am going to blog before the comp. gets "sick" again. hehehe Which it did get "sick" again - I broke it big time - but thankfully we took it to Terri a couple nights ago and he fixed it -

The month of June we had 3 b-days which meant 3 b-day parties. Not only did we have 3 b-day parties we did them all in the same wk.end so that family from out of town could come to all parties. I did A and L party w/ A's friend and it was an outside water party. It was crazy b/c there were a lot of kids, but it was fun and the kids had a great time. A's friends Mema made the girls cakes, which was awesome. And D party was put together in a wk. b/c he was going to have his party at Hey Day and do Laser Tag but this he broke his arm. So I had to come up w/ something else, which I did. I came up w/ the "one arm awards" we had everyone's arm in a sling and then had "events" using their other arm. Then we had "awards" for the "events." It really was a lot of fun and the kids loved it. And we wrapped the fun up w/ a silly string fight in the front yard. So the kids are 7, 4, and 2 now - where does the time go?

D got his cast off. I guess that was an ordeal, b/c he also got the pins pulled out too. T said blood was gushing everywhere when they pulled the pins out plus he hurt b/c they don't numb you for it. His arm is doing ok, he will work on moving it for a couple of wks. and then we will move it for a couple of wks. and after that we go back to the Dr. and see how it is going. He is heading back to the gym on Monday. He still can't use his right arm in the gym but I know his coach will find something for him to do.

D also went to Camp Rock Creek this past wk. Our Life Group kids went. Erin was their sponsor, Thanks so much Erin... kids could not have gone w/out you doing that!! D had a blast, this was his first camp of any kind and he talked about it all wk. and still talks about it. He told me all about the lesson each day, which he has never done before. At church he may tell me a little something but not like this, he told me the entire story, it was great. It was great and the kids had a good time. Erin heard about Camp last minute but I am glad she organized it even if it was short notice.

As for me I started a colon cleanse a few wks. ago. It is a few pills in the morning then a fiber drink before brk.fast and then an herbal tea before bed. It is going well. I will be doing it for a couple months. I am not walking like I was, I know I need to get back to it, and I will. I am doing a pretty good job on my eating, not perfect but that is ok.
T had his annual wk.end w/ college friends. It sounds like he had a great time. It is always nice seeing old friends and catching up on life.

I am so happy to be back blogging - I never knew I would miss it so much.

Monday night Trey and I went to the movies. My mom was still in town from the b-day wk.end so she watched the kids for us. We go out on a date only a few times a yr. so I was really looking forward to it. I picked the movie and I wanted to go to the new Warren Theater. The movie started at 6:40- we got to the theater around 6:15 - which is way early for us, but I wanted to check out the Theater. We get in line and Trey tells the young girl behind the counter that we want to see "What Happens In Vegas" The young girl tells Trey that they are not showing the last two showings of that movie tonight b/c there was a Toby Mac concert in that Theater. We get out of line and try to figure out what we are going to do now. So I get mad b/c I didn't really want to see any other movie. I have Trey call AMC and that didn't work out b/c of time. So we get back in line as we were trying to decide between two other movies. Trey gets back to the counter and says "since the movie we wanted to see if not being shown we are going to go w/ Zohan." Then the 18 yr. old "Manager" shows us this piece of paper that he must have went and got from the time we left the counter the first time and he informs us that Movie Tickets.com is their "official" site for movie times. That is when I kinda lost it hehehe - I was trying to stay calm during this whole time but after he said that I laughed and said "movietickets.com is your OFFICIAL site for movie times, how would I know that, I went to Warren Theaters and looked up the movie times" The 18 yr. old "manager" just looked at me, he didn't know what to say so one of the young girls says "the movie will be showing tomorrow night, maybe you could come back tomorrow." Then I punched her in the face and Trey had to drag me out of the theater. heeheheeehhe Just Kidding - I told her "IF I WANTED TO GO TO THE MOVIES TOMORROW I WOULD COME TOMORROW NOT TONIGHT" After that I told Trey not to bother we were not going to watch a movie. We left the counter, I was upset.... Trey got another "Manager" who actually knew what he was doing. He (the Manager) understood where I was coming from, which is what I wanted to hear. hehehehe. And we went to the Adam Sandler Zohan movie and had popcorn and drinks at no cost to us. Not a great movie, but it fit into our time schedule. The End.

A Friday like no other....

I dropped D off at the gym at 5:30, which is what I always do....just drop him off; tell him I love him and tell him to do his best. Abby wanted to go to the mall (which is directly across the street from the gym) So we headed over to the mall to play and ride the horses and get a cookie. The girls played for about 20 min. then rode the horses twice and we headed off to get our cookie (that is how a bribe them to leave the mall.) After I got their cookies, I checked my phone, don't know why I was checking it but I was......and I had a message. The message was from the gym they needed me to get to the gym as fast as I could b/c D got injured, they thought he probably dislocated his elbow (which sounds painful enough to me.) I call Trey while I am trying to hurry the girls through the mall and he had just gotten off the phone w/ the gym and was only a couple minutes away so he said he would go get him. I got the girls loaded in the van and we were leaving the mall and I saw Trey leaving the gym. I had Trey pull up next to me so I could see D and he didn't look good, he was in a lot of pain. I told him I would run home and pick up a couple things and meet him at the hosp.

By the time I got to the hosp. D was already in a room and the nurse was giving him some pain medicine through and IV. The Dr. had already come in and told Trey (before x-rays) that it was not a dislocated elbow, it was break, a really bad break. So we figured we might be at the hosp. for awhile so I called a friend to come get the girls (I was thinking an hr. or two) The x-ray tech came and took x-rays of D arm (right arm) and then we got the bad news from the Dr. They would have to do surgery and it needed to be done that night. The Dr. also thought D could have some nerve damage, another reason for doing the surgery that night. I called my brother and he asked if we needed him to do anything or if he should meet us at Chrildren's. I said I didn't think so, but then I told D that Coby wanted to come see him, D smiled so I called my brother and told him to come on up. So he sent us on our way to Children's.......We got there and checked in he went in for surgery around 12a. They had to put 3 pins in. The Dr. said the only worse break there is...is if the bone comes out of the skin.

D did great the whole time. The Dr. said they got his bones lined up well and that he should make a full recovery. My brother stayed until D got out of surgery and into his room (almost 3a). I stayed the night and Trey went home around 3 (he had to work Sat. morning for a few hrs.) I got about 2 hrs. of sleep that night. D was in pain and uncomfortable plus I was thinking about my girls and praying, lots and lots of praying.

My brother came back the next morning, brought me breakfast and made D smile (he was being so goofy, but it made D smile.)

We were so impressed by the one on one care and timely care that D received both at Moore and at Children's. For the surgery he had 3 Dr. in the room w/ him (and it was after hrs., so they were all on-call) We thank God for the care D received.

We were also amazed by the concern from our friends and family. Terri and Russ picking up Treys car at the Moore Hosp. and getting in home so we didn't have to mess w/ it. Michelle and Amie for taking care of my girls (a lot longer than 2 hrs.) My brother coming Friday and Sat. And for the many phone calls, prayers, cards, cookies and offers of help. I know the entire process went well b/c of those prayers. D is on his way to feeling better. He is in a sling right now and will be getting his cast hopefully this wk. He will have the cast on for 3-4 wks. and then they will take the pins out after that. Dalex has already said he wants to go back to gymnastics as soon as he can. He is amazing, we are so blessed.

D is the only one to tell us what happened at the gym. He was on the P Bars and fell the first time and landed on his back then the next time he fell (through the middle not the outside) and tried to catch himself w/ his hands.

We have some great pictures of the whole process, but the pic.'s were taken from our phone and I can't figure out how to get them to my blog. The pic of the broken arm is amazing. If I have your e-mail address I will e-mail them to ya.

I am just going to type a little bit of nothing, b/c I don't have much to say. I have not lost any more wt. but I have not been eating well either. So I need to get back on track w/ my eating.

End of school is here, which is always a busy time. Me and a couple other moms our having a "End of School Bash" so I am busy getting ready for that. Oh and planning 3 b-day parties for the 1st wk.end in June (so I am just a little busy)

D had his Awards Banquet for Gymnastics last Sat. night. It was a fun evening, we got all dressed up and had a good time. D won "Hardest Worker" Award. He was happy and of course we were too. D has a new schedule for the summer - practice 4 days a wk. So we are all still adjusting to that.

I played v-ball in high school.
I didn't play basketball, but if I had I would have won 4 gold medals
I can roll my tongue
I fry when out in the sun for 5 minutes
I can't drive well at night
I have red hair - nothing shocking about that - I don't color my hair. *(ok that ends the ones from my bro.)
I had some kidney issues in high school.
I had to drink Castor oil before some tests on my kidneys (the worst thing I have ever ever drank)

I was anemic a lot in college.
I do not enjoy hot weather.

I put a live boa-constrictor around my neck while on a family vacation.

I went to Australia on a missions trip in college.
I went to Cancun on my Honeymoon.
I went to Canada as a vacation nanny (when I was in high school).
I broke my ankle a couple yrs. ago, while playing w/ D.
That was my first broken bone of my life.
I had my wisdom teeth removed (I think I was 15 or 16).
That is the only surgery I have ever had.
I have been to 9 funerals.
5 of them were family.
I have been to 6 weddings (that includes mine)
I have been in 2 weddings (other than mine)
I think this will be my last "list"

Mommies and Their Little Girls Night Out

The whole night was perfect!! My friend Amie put together this amazing night. She set up a Little Girls Night Out. Amie is a great friend, but she is an awesome mommy. She is one of those moms that really goes the extra mile for her kids. She gives her kids 100% of her and I love seeing her w/ her kids. Watching her watch her little girl last night was so touching. She planned for us to have dinner and then go on a Horse and Carriage Ride in Bricktown. The girls got all dressed up for the night. They all looked soooo adorable and they were so excited. First we had dinner, which was great. Then after dinner it was time for our Horse and Carriage Ride. The girls were so excited when they saw the Carriage, they were smiling and laughing and jumped right in. The ride took about 20 minutes and it was great. People were waving at the girls and telling them how cute they were. The girls were waving at people acting like they were little princesses. The driver even let the girls take turns sitting up front w/ her, which they loved. After the ride the girls got to pet the horses and sit on them as well. D and D Horse and Carriage Rides is the company and they were great, so friendly and great w/ the girls. The weather was perfect, no wind, temp. was great.
Then the girls wanted to go on a walk, so we walked around downtown for a couple of hours. They ran, talked to people, sang, laughed. There were some teenagers dressed up for Prom, so our little girls would compliment them on there pretty dresses and then they would return the compliment. During the walk people would say "oh hello Snow White, you look so pretty tonight." And on and on about all the girls. The girls all did such a great job all night, the evening was so enjoyable.

Well I just thought I would say a little something about my exercising and eating....you guys sick of hearing about it yet??? If so, too bad!!!! Maybe I will start titling every post about my wt./exercise "Me", that way if you don't want to read it, that will be your clue.

I have not lost any more wt. Which kinds makes me mad, but I know I just gotta stick w/ it. I have been exercising 5-6 times a wk. Last Sunday I walked a 5K on thee 'ol treadmill, then did it again on Monday. Then yesterday I did it again, but for the first mile I used the incline (wow that changes it up). So again today I used the incline for one mile, but I walked for a total of one hour. I walked 3 1/2 miles. I am trying to mix up my workouts to see if that will take some wt. off, we shall see. A 5K is hard for me, and tonight it was hard to do the hour, but I just stuck w/ it. This color is what my face looks like when I am done working out.
Biggest Loser ended Tues, a girl won, Ali. She looked great. I really enjoyed that show, I could relate to their struggles, heartache, pain etc. And now I can relate to their success. I know I have a long way to go, but I am learning so much through my journey.......one day at a time, one meal at a time.........

Today I got on the treadmill (which made 4 times this wk.), and I was walking for about a minute and then told myself "run just a little." So I cranked up the treadmill fast enough that I either had to run or fall off. I ran for 6 minutes, not all at the same time, but I did 1 mile in 16 minutes (which it usually takes me 18-20 min.). I ran 6 of the 16 minutes !!!! I was getting close to the end of the mile and I thought "after running today, I can just stop at one mile" but when I got done w/ the 1 mile I couldn't stop, so I walked for another mile. I got done w/ my 2 miles in 33 minutes (usually takes me 38-40 minutes). I know it may sound silly to some of you reading this, my times are not good and I am no where near running a marathon, but I am improving and that is what matters to me. Then I walked til I got to 35 minutes b/c a friend told me I could, seems so silly but true. It seems weird what a few little words of encouragement can do. I don't know if we always know what an impact just a few words can make. So I want to say thank you to all of you who have posted comments or made comments when you see me, it has really helped me. Side note, I got a card in the mail yesterday from a new friend and it touched my heart more than words can say, simple act....big impact !!!!!
Sunday Night - one more update, don't know if ppl read this over the past two days or not, but I wanted to add that I ran 1/2 mile straight tonight, took me 6 minutes, but I ran the whole time. I am still walking 35 min., but I am walking over 2 miles. Still have only lost 35 lbs., but I know I just gotta stick w/ it. I lost like 30 lbs. in two and a half months, which I loved but I know it can't keep coming off that fast. I dread getting on the treadmill, but feel so good getting off. I think I might be turning that corner, of not dreading the treadmill soooo much.

Gymnastics Season Is Over

I have been trying for days to upload some pic.'s w/ this blog....but for some reason my comp. is having issues, or I am having issues w/ my comp. So oh well, maybe some other time.......
D's gymnastics season is over. As most of you know D started gymnastics less than a yr. ago (last Aug.). He was on a team and loved it. T and I are so proud of him. He had an amazing season. He got 1st place overall 2 or 3 times. And at State he got 2nd place overall. He placed at every meet. He loves getting the medals, so he worked hard. He improved so much over the season, which I can't hardly believe. He loves showing us anything new that he learns. He is always doing something related to gymnastics in our living room. The girls love dressing up in their gymnastics outfits and trying to be like big brother, so fun to watch them too. We are so proud of him, or did I already mention that? hehehe Even if he chooses not to do gymnastics next season he knows that the training from this yr. will help him in any sport he wants to play. For now he is still practicing 3 times a wk. - almost 8 hrs. a wk. I believe he has a gift for gymnastics, but time will tell if he wants to keep doing it or not. Thank you to everyone who came and watched him or asked him about his Meets, that means a lot of us and to him as well.

We enjoyed the circus this past Sunday afternoon. I took A and D, T stayed home w/ L (which I am sure was a good thing). We went w/ some friends and the kids had a great time. D and the other two boys wanted to sit at the very top, last row.....so at first I was thinking, "ummmm no let's don't", but they really wanted to so we did. Got all the way to the top (which I know this blog is not about me, it is about the kids and the circus...but one little side note, a few months ago, I would have passed out climbing to the top, but I did just fine.) Ok where was I.....oh yea so we got to the top seats and then noticed that they had pony and elephant rides, so we let the kids go on the elephants. I stayed and kept our seats while everyone else went down for the elephant ride. The kids loved the circus, and I even enjoyed it. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.

Well this story is still a shock to tell......so let me start from the beginning. A few wks. ago I went to CT and was visiting w/ some friends there and the subject came up again about "birth control" And I am not using any birth control right now, just praying and hoping for the best. Well that conversation was on a Monday, that following Wed. I woke up sick sick. I felt so sick to my stomach, I couldn't move. I told D he would have to stay home from school b/c I couldn't drive him. I never threw up, but I sure thought I was going to. And then it happened, around 11a-12p I felt better. I didn't know what to think at first (never had an ounce of morning sickness w/ the other 3). I kept thinking, "I feel better, this is really strange." So I ate something, still felt better. Then it hit me, late afternoon..... I thought "I should take a preg. test." So anyway....we are pregnant!!!!

april fools !!! hehehehehee - we are not pregnant, but that story was true, except for being pregnant. hehehehe - I really think it was a sign for me. I don't know how you women who have morning sickness do it, I could not.

I wanted to let everyone know that my dad is doing better. He had two stents put in and is feeling better. I want to still ask for prayers for him. I really felt better knowing you guys were praying for him and me. I am so big on praying, it helps me through everything.

Speaking of praying....I pray a lot about my exercise and eating habits. I am still not in love w/ my treadmill, but I do get on it 3-4 times a day. I have been doing 30 min. of walking, but a friend encouraged me to do 35 min., so I did, so now I am trying for 35-40 min. each time. I am feeling so much better, my health is so much better. I can play w/ the kids for a longer period of time . We went to the park today and it was great. And my butt fit on the swing, which trust me, was a shock b/c my butt did not fit on a swing last summer. hehehehe I really didn't realize how over weight I was and how out of shape I was. I have lost 35 lbs. and still need to lose 20-30 more lbs., but 35 lbs feels great, I feel great. Words can't tell you how much better I feel. This lifestyle change has been good for my whole family, we are eating better and more aware of healthy choices. D had a friend over last week and D asked his friend if he wanted a piece of gum, and D told his friend it was sugar free gum and that it was good for you and that his mom only chews sugar free gum b/c it is healthier for you....it was really cute listening to him explain how healthy sugar free gum is hehee. We have not been eating fast food much anymore and even when I give my kids the choice...."eat at home" or "fast food", they have been picking "eat at home"...I am so proud of them. So that's my quick updates!!

Spring Time...

Spring is in the air. It was a great day, minus a little wind and it would have been my perfect weather. I do not like hot weather, but I love the spring weather.

We didn't have professional pictures done this Christmas so we went during Spring Break and had some done. It is soooo much fun taking pictures for a family of 5 - hehehehe - Getting every ones outfits, which was not really that bad. I got the kids outfits all at the same store and Trey already had something to match. Then I tried on about 1200 dresses which was not fun. I am not a shopper. And I have not wore a dress in years. So I finally found a dress. Anyway, Lily was not into taking pictures that day, but at least we got a couple cute shots. Happy Spring Everyone!!!

Ok here are just a few things that I want out of my head......

1. Will someone please tell me how I can add someone to my blog? I usually go to M's blog and then click on her ppl, b/c I don't know how to do it for my own blog pg!!! Someone help me, and be kind during the process. I have tried to figure it out, I need help (there I said it, I need help) hehehee

2. My friend Kristen from college came this past Sunday, it was great spending some time w/ her, I sure do miss seeing her. She is an amazing person and friend.

3. I go to great lengths not to cry, I don't know why, like it's just crying who cares, but I will try everything not to cry.

4. I was talking to someone yesterday and she made a comment that she reads my blog, but never leaves a comment.......so to all of you who do that, thanks for taking the time to read my blog, even if you don't leave a comment.

5. It is so not like me to "blog" I am proud of myself for doing it and sticking w/ it, I am so not that type to put my thoughts out there for ppl to read. I am enjoying it though. I don't really care if ppl are reading it or not, I like blogging b/c it gets thoughts out of my head. (a lot of random thoughts, hehehe)

6. I am back to doing the South Beach Diet Phase One.......it is for 14 days so I may be a little cranky for a wk. I was cranky today and it was only day one. hehehe

7. I have watched every show of The Biggest Loser this season, this is probably the first time that I have watched a show and watched every episode. I love that show, it really hits home for me.

8. I have been praying a ton the last couple of months and I gotta say it, even though you know it.....but God is awesome. I feel so refreshed and it is b/c of God, so I am thankful.

9. I got a new camera for x-mas.....still trying to figure all that out so that is why I have not posted many pic.'s

Ok so I read J's blog about being tagged, I am going to attempt to say a few things now, and I have no idea how to "tag" someone else. So I will just see if Erin, Michelle and Pam want to do this "tag" thing or not. If you are clueless, go to J's blog and read hers and she can give you more details about it.

I like myself. I always have, can't really think of a time that I didn't like myself.
Fake ppl bother me. I can spot them a mile away and they bother me, fake smile, fake hellos, fake laugh, fake looks, fake fake fake.
I wish I took a little extra time to say things to ppl. To say thank you or I love you.
I don't worry about much at all. If I had to pick one thing.......I would say I worry about how I am doing as a mother. I hope I am doing ok, I of course think I have great kids, but I pray that I am doing an ok job.
I wish I had a few more local "true" friends. I have some great friends, real, honest friends, but many of them live out of town or out of state. I never cared about having more friends until a yr. or so ago. I don't think I make a great effort to have more friends.

Lily is wrapping her arms around her best friend. They have so much fun together, I just love it. Dalex and Abby were super cute too.

Dalex did great at his meet this past Sunday. He got fifth place overall. I think he has one more meet, which is State. And I forgot to mention in my "exercise" blog that I have lost 25 lbs.

Well I just got done w/ the treadmill. Made it 1 and 1/2 miles tonight - I still walk, no running here. I did use the incline tonight, which was the first time, it sucked, so I only used it for 15 min. I mean I do feel good now that it is over and I can breath again, but while I am on the treadmill I am not a happy person. hehehehe - When I first started on the treadmill Dalex made me a sign that says "Go Mom" - I love it, I love seeing it every time I get on the treadmill. He is so sweet, he has become my "trainer" - he encourages me, motivates me and makes me laugh. He usually stays in my room while I am on the treadmill. I have learned a lot in the past month in a half. I had become an emotional eater, which has been fun sorting out. I will say that this process has not been easy, but w/ a lot of prayer I am getting healthier everyday.

Well I am sleepy, but wanted to write a few things. The kids had a blast at PIU tonight. Trey works late on Tues., Wed., and Thurs., so he didn't get to come. And Trey is the one who usually runs around w/ the kids........which meant I was getting that job tonight. I was a little nervous, b/c the previous visits to PIU if I did even one trip up the slide, I was breathing hard b/c I was so out of shape. I am not bragging, b/c I know I have a long long way to go.........but tonight I did everything w/ the kids, didn't break a sweat, didn't need oxygen. heheehe It was and is a great feeling, losing some wt. and getting in better shape. I have a lot of wt. to lose still, but I am already loving the results. I have more energy, my house looks better than it has in awhile, I feel better all day long, my prayer life is back on track (I have been praying and praying). I am just thankful for it all, w/ God I am able to do so much!!
Ok - what else did I want to say..........can't think right now, b/c I need sleep. hehehe - so that is all for tonight.

ok I am going to try to write just a little. Our comp. is kinda broken right now, sometimes I can get online and then other times I can't. I was just catching up on some blogs - they are great - I love reading everyones. Dalex has a meet this Sunday morning, here in Moore. My mother-in-law and two of the kids cousins will be coming up to watch him. We were all sick last week, so I am glad that is over with. I think everyone is on the road to being healthy again. I have lost 20 lbs. - still have a ton to lose, but hey it is a good start. I am watching kids again, which I love, I have two boys and two girls........it is great. I am blessed to be watching these kids, and they are a blessing to me and my family. My g-pa is doing better, he is back at the nursing home. Dalex lost his frist tooth. Ok - this has all been just random stuff......... don't have time to write anything else. Plus I want to make sure it posts before my comp. decides it doesn't want to work anymore today.

My mom called tonight, my g-pa is in the hospital. He is not doing well. This last year his health declined and he had to move into a nursing home. I actually worked at the nursing home when I was in high school. It was kinda hard to go see him when I was home (but I went everyday I was home). It is hard to see someone you love in a nursing home. It is hard to watch a man that was once strong, hard working and always helping someone else, be in the situation he is in. I have always loved listening to my g-pa talk about his past. He was in WWII, farmed, was a postal carrier, and married my g-ma and treated her like a princess. He has lived a great life. He will be the first to tell ya, he had plenty of hard times but all worth it for the great times. I ask for your prayers. I ask God, that if it is his time to die, that we except it. He is ready to die, he is just waiting for God to take him............

Ok I took a little break - and on we go...........

Dalex's last meet was in KS. He did great, got 5 medals and 1 ribbon. He got 1st place overall in his age group. His team also won 1st place. Dalex was asked if he wanted to take the trophy home for the night, which of course he was so excited to do. The trophy was the talk of the Pott's household for that night and the next day. Dalex did not let it out of his site, he didn't even want Abby to touch it. Finally after Abby asking and asking, and mom and dad telling him, Dalex let Abby touch the trophy, but told her "only on the white part" So the next day was Monday and Dalex was in school and the trophy was against the wall in the living room..........Abby comes into the living room, kneels down beside the trophy and has this conversation w/ the trophy....."hello, Dalex said I could only touch the white part, but I don't want to just touch the white part"..........then you see her little fingers touching every part of that trophy she could. It was so stinkin' funny. I wish I had video of it. Dalex also got to take the trophy to school and show his teacher and classmates.

I just noticed I have not posted a blog in like over a month, you guys must be really worried about me. hehehehehe I just got Abby and Lily out of the bath, so I may not get far on this. The picture of Abby w/ Gracen was taken when we were in Frisco TX for Dalex's meet, and the picture of the couple is Gracen's parents. It was great seeing them and so nice of them to come and watch Dalex. Dalex was sick for his last two meets, but still did well. He is finally getting better. He was sick most of the Holiday Break. We went to TX for Christmas for a few days and then me and the kids went to NE for a wk. Before we left for NE I took Dalex to the dr. and he had a severe double ear infection, so he didn't feel good. He is finally doing better. His next meet is this wk.end in KS. The picture of the kids at the Church Christmas Program is so cute, all those kids in their PJ's - cute cute. I didn't get to go to the program b/c I was working (heard Abby had a "moment" but that is no big shock). I had a good Christmas overall, I always enjoy seeing my family in TX and NE. Life is getting back to the bizzzy normal, but I guess I like it that way. Dalex has practice 3 days a wk. now instead of 2. Lily is really starting to talk more, which is so cute. Lily and Abby went to the dr. Tues, they both have ear infections too. I am looking forward to everyone being healthy again, I have no slept in days. I do not do New Yrs. Resolutions, but I am trying to improve on a few things. I am trying to lose wt. and get in some sort of shape (just started this process two days ago) hehehehe OK - it is late for me and I need sleep. I finally got caught up on every one's blogs, they are all great, I love reading them all. To the new yr., I pray we all make the most of it. Make the most of every day.

OK OK OK - I have been bizzy. I got me a part time job at Target, which I am really liking, but we are all adjusting to it, but it is good.
I love pictures, I got me a new camera (for Christmas) on Black Fri. I can't wait to use it. I went to Walmart first, which was not crazy, I mean it was busy, but not horrible. Then I went to Sears (where I got my camera, the last one they had of the one I wanted) which is such a rush, getting the last one. Checking out at Sears took a long time, but that was ok, b/c I got what I wanted (took about 30 min. to check out). Then went to Target off of Western, and it was busy, but headed back to get a gift for Trey, and I got the last one in the shelf, and then got a few toys and that was that. I like Black Friday, esp. for big items, but I love a sale. OK what else...........The picture of Coby and Dalex..........Coby took Dalex to an OU game, they had a blast and Coby bought Dalex an OU sweatshirt, they had a great time, I love seeing my kids light up when their Uncle Coby comes over.
My friend, Kristen, from college came to visit, it is always great seeing her.
Side note, I am typing really fast, and Lily is in my lap, so you will just need to overlook the mistakes..........

His next Meet is tomorrow at Bart Connor and then the following Sat. he has one in Frisco TX. He is doing great and really enjoys it. He likes the Rings the best.
My Abby was in the bath the other night and it was time to get out, so I told her 3 times that it was time to get out. Finally I say to her "Abby do you hear me?" and she says "yes I hear you, you are hurting me ears." It was cute.

I should be doing laundry, but instead I am checking my e-mail and now I posting a blog. Laundry will be there in 10 min. - trust me.

Well Dalex had his 1st gymnastics meet, he placed in every event. He got 4th, 3rd, 2nd (3 times) and a 1st. And overall he got 1st place in his age group. He was so excited, I loved seeing his face. He was looking at his ribbons and had a huge smile on his face, and when he placed 1st in the overall Meet, he was so proud of himself. I thought he did best on the Rings and the Floor. But I am his mom so I thought he did great on all of them.

And the wk.end before I went back to the Scrappin' Pad, it was great - only 5 people there the whole wk.end - So relaxing. We are going back in July, everyone should go sometime, even if you don't scrap-book. It is a great wk.end get-a-away.

Ok I am still waiting for that Blog101 - I can't figure out how to move the pictures around - but oh well.
One last thing, I really have been enjoying every ones blogs, I actually like this, which is a shock to myself. hehehehe - I hope you guys are enjoying mine.

Ok - Here are a few of many shots of my little princess at Disney On Ice, Princess Wishes. The girls had a blast. Abby went w/ her good friend Maddie and they were so cute to watch the whole night. Abby let her friend wear her Cinderella dress and Abby wore her Snow White dress for the first half of the show and then during the second half of the show she wore her Belle dress. Of course Abby made it clear from the very beginning that "Maddie could borrow her Cinderella dress, but she could not take it home" hehehehe It was a Magical Evening, and us moms really enjoyed it too, there is nothing that compares to seeing your child happy and they were happy that night.......

I have thought about this a lot so I am gonna put it on here and then stop wondering or thinking about it. I thought the saying was "it's so hard to say goodbye." But I am beginning to wonder if it is.... "it's so hard to say hello." I don't just mean when you see someone you don't know at all, I mean people we kinda know..........we walk by people (even people w/ so-so know) w/ out saying a simple hello. Or worse yet, we avoid people just so we don't have to say hello (don't act like I am the only one who has done that heheeheee). I don't know if the problem is everyone is waiting for the other person to say hello first or if they are too busy to say a quick one word while passing you by. Or another reason for why people don't say hello could be b/c they just don't want to. I am going to make a better effort of saying hello....just hello. Nothing attached to it, just a simple hello.

I am sore, sore, sore!!! But I did make it back to the Y tonight - walked 2 mi. and rode the bike 5 mi. The Biggest Loser was on while I was at the Y and if that doesn't give me motivation I don't know what would. I will tell ya what else was motivating, Michelle's blog about her weight struggles. It was motivating just reading her story which helps me want to stay focused. Well that is that for tonight.

Well well well......I don't know how it happened but it happened. Pam found my blog. hehehehee I was not even sure if I was going to let poeple see it, but I guess I am now hehehhe. I would like to know more about what I can and can't do on my blog, but it is hard for me to make time for it. Plus I am not the best on computers. I think I will still do the blog, it is really more for me, so sorry if it is boring to you. You know what, I am not sorry, just thought that was nice to say. hehehehe

So today is my 31st b-day. It was a good day, I wanted a nap, but I didn't get one, but oh well, maybe tomorrow. I went to MO this wk.end and met up w/ a couple friends from college, I had a blast. One of the girls shares the same b-day w/ me. It was great seeing them. The friend that lives in MO has MS and is having a bad spell w/ it right now, so we didn't do much but hang out, which was fine w/ me. I have not seen either girls in about a year, and it is always nice picking up right where we left off. Anyway I wanted to express some feelings about my friend who has MS, she is a wife and a mommy to two bright beautiful boys. She is an amazing mommy and a strong person. It is hard for her to walk, pick up her children or even so the day to day tasks that we do as mothers. I just wanted to say I am in awe of her, her attitude, her gentleness, everything about her. I pray that I do not take anything in my life for granted. The older I get the more I cherish my friendships, true friendships, the type that I can say anything and still have my friend love me for me, not something I should be or could be, but just for me. I was talking w/ one of the girls this wk.end and I made the comment that I have "friends" but not a lot of true friends, which I would I have wondered about, but that is whole other blog.
ok I feel like this blog is all over the place, but that's me.......
